Diner Dash: Hometown Hero®
Have you ever thought of opening a restaurant of your own? If you have, my suggestion to you would be not to do so until you have played (and mastered) Diner Dash: Hometown Hero®.
Diner Dash: Hometown Hero® is an absolutely fun-filled game that will have you addicted to it in a jiffy. You play Flo—an ex-business executive who bids her stressful career farewell to open her own diner and be her own boss. Little does she realize that the stress she’s running away from is going to descend on her with a vengeance!
The gameplay involves the regular routine that goes on in a diner: seat customers that are coming in on clean tables, give them menus, give them time to decide what they want to eat, take their orders, hand the orders over to the cook, take the cooked dishes to the tables, take checks to the customers who are done eating, clean the dirty tables, and take the dirty dishes back to the counter to be washed. Simple, right?
Well, it’s not so simple when there is one table that needs to be cleaned to make room for customers waiting to be seated, while the customers on another table are ready to order and are beckoning to you, and there is one customer who is waiting for you to bring the check while another one has waited long enough for food to be brought to the table. And all of them need your attention RIGHT NOW!
Where Strategy comes in!
An element of strategy comes in as the game has different types of customers, who have different “patience levels.” You have to prioritize your time properly to make sure the customers with the shorter amount of patience are served first. Keeping all your customers happy wins you large tips that will eventually accumulate and allow you to buy a newer and bigger diner, i.e. proceed to the next level.
As you collect enough tips in one level that allow you to buy a larger diner, the game proceeds to the next difficulty level. New and larger restaurants will have the old, regular customers coming in as well as newer customers who can be harder to please and, thus, earn tips from.
Interface & Controls
Diner Dash: Hometown Hero® really has the easiest possible interface and controls with everything mouse-driven. All you have to do to seat customers, pick up dishes, clean tables, etc. is to click the appropriate place with your mouse.
Overall, Diner Dash: Hometown Hero® is very easy to get addicted to as you try and please more and more customers to earn higher tips and buy bigger diners. The game ends when you are too overwhelmed with customers in your diner and a specific number of them get up and leave. Your ultimate objective is to keep enough of them happy by strategizing your time and mouse clicks.Free Download
